A Better Idea ????
I understand, that in order to boost the recovery, the Federal Government may be planning to accelerate the ordering of new vehicles for their fleets, by ordering the newer greener more efficient cars from manufacturers.
As a major stockholder in Chrysler and General Motors, should we taxpayers assume that the cars ordered will be from these two companies, and not from Ford, Honda, Toyota, etc ? That would help increase profits for the companies we own.

Rick said… - Larry, this seems like an experiment, as if Obama is playing a role, he thinks being president is all about making speeches and appearances. The president making the Late Night television circuit, huh, then ridiculing Special Olympics (shades of Rahm Emanuel)? Obama got a free pass on that distasteful, insensitive blunder. He virtually changed all cabinet members, but kept Secretary Gates at the defense dept -- he can't be bothered with Defense issues. He took months and months to "divulge" his answer to the military and the public concerning additional troops in Afghanistan. A SLAP IN THE FACE TO ALL WHO BRAVELY SERVE. And yes, Larry, how does a couple breach security at a White House State Dinner? It should be the most secure place in the United States.

- Hey Larry, thanks for the welcome. I slept very well at night, knowing there was a man sitting in the Oval Office who wasn't afraid of making tough decisions or pulling the trigger if necessary; who wasn't concerned with polls, focus groups, and demographics. Now it seems no one is in charge. Have our enemies become emboldened? Ask the poor souls at Ft. Hood who watched in horror as an "officer" took-out fellow service men and women -- from the inside. The atmosphere in this country is that an attack on the homeland is imminent and God forbid there is -- this administration and it's Attorney General will have to run for hills because of their lackadaisical, municipal attitude toward terrorism on the homeland. This would not be happening under Bush's watch. WE WERE SAFER.
